If you MSI computer's webcam is not responding and does not show up in device manager that may not be a hardware problem. When deactivated, it will show up as a USB device and not as a camera. To reactivate, use the hotkey Fn+F6. Note, this may not cause the camera to be instantly detected by camera applications. Not all such applications continually poll hardware after failing to detect the webcam on launch. After activating the camera with the hotkey, relaunch the software that was attempting to access the camera. It should now detect it. If this does not work, you may need to reinstall the SCM software for your computer from the MSI website, since this software controls the hotkeys.
