What is RPM?

Modified on Fri, 19 Feb 2021 at 05:30 PM

RPM stands for "revolutions per minute." This is important for your computer because that dictates how quickly your documents save to and open from your computer. The higher the revolutions of the internal disk, the faster your hard drive is able to read and write the data. For example, a hard drive with 5400 RPM will save a Microsoft Word document at a slower speed than a 7200 RPM drive.
